gamezone07   18 #1 Posted October 13, 2020 (edited) recently purchased a swan 10 l dehumidifier, hardly used and in vgc, it worked for a couple of weeks, though not huge amounts of water, the humidity metre was around 70-60 degrees and was directly in bathroom,  now it is not extracting water at all, not a drop, the humidity meter is averaging 50-45, the fan is on, very noisy, cold not hot warm air is being emitted, I have cleaned the filter, etc reading about,  I did have it in the bathroom, very wet, etc, it was on an extension cable, but surely most will be, Edited October 13, 2020 by gamezone07
 Share this content via...

alchresearch   207 #3 Posted October 14, 2020 Your setup doesn't sound ideal.  Do you not have a wall extractor or window to help expel the damp air?
 Share this content via...
ads36   205 #4 Posted October 14, 2020 (i think) there are 2 kinds of domestic dehumidifier.  one of them (them cheaper one, like we have), needs the ambient temperature over .. 18(?)°C  often, our house is close to / below this temperature - particularly in winter.  basically, the room needs to be warm for ours to work.
