Hillsborough Mortgaged.

Recommended Posts

i trust CHANSIRI    ,hes a top man,but hes made mistakes, nearly got us there ,where we belong and would have ,if it wasnt for the FA telling us that the owner is not allowed to spend his own money at swfc as he wishes ,but thats another story, the stadium would be near impossible to be good enough for the premier, but his heart is there and we will be back, doubt monk can do it,but whoever does it,will go down in history as a great man and may even get director status for life, leeds did it,we can do it,just hope its sooner ,rather than later.

The thing that is puzzling me, is that if this often mentioned perception that Chansiri is SO wealthy that he can throw however much he wants at whatever he wants is true....then why take this route?

Wealthy people don't tend to have money that they can draw out of a cash machine, this is just to cover running costs during the pandemic, its a total non story, Prince whatshisface took out a mortgage on Bramall Lane, there wasn't anywhere near the fuss made of that.

As pointed out on Wednesday's 'Football Heaven', the Prince was asked how he was going to finance the additional purchases of the Shirecliffe training facilities & the hotel, etc in an interview with Radio Sheffield some time ago.

Upfront, he explained that he would be taking out a loan with the Emirates Bank, using the Bramall Lane stadium as collateral, which he already owned.  The the loan payments would be made by SUFC & that is how they would continue, so long as SUFC were in the Premiership.  Importantly, should the Blades drop out of the Premiership, the Prince stated that any future payments would be personally underwritten by himself at no extra cost to the club.

This is what has happened at Bramall Lane, everything has been clearly lodged with Companies' House, again as stated by Radio Sheffield last night, every thing is financially transparent, so that's why the Blades loans / mortgage payments never really attracted the media scrutiny that Wednesday are receiving.

When enquiring journalists ask Mr Chansiri what is going on; what his intentions are, all for the benefit of concerned Owls' fans, the reply is "No comment!", as stated in Tuesday's 'Football Heaven'.

Let's also remember in the case of the Blades, the Prince also has not sold the club to another company, owned by himself & then mortgage it too a yet unnamed, lender?  Again, all as stated on Radio Sheffield.

In affect, until said loan is repaid in full, just as would happen with any mortgage on your house with your bank, the mortgaged property, Hillsborough stadium, is technically owned by the money lender, rather than 'Sheffield 3 Limited'.

Absolutely spot on.

And the most important part of your explanation is 'transparency'. Chansiri thinks he is so far above the average Wednesday fan that he chooses not to explain to them the consequences of his actions and decisions. Arrogance of the highest order. On the balance sheet under liabilities should be the name 'Chansiri'.

Looks like just a way of raising some cash without dipping into his savings. It should all work out fine provided he didn't get the cash before the mortgage was legal or some such. :hihi:

It was mentioned on 'Football Heaven' tonight, that nobody actually knows, outside of Mr C, (and presumably those really close to him), know how much money has been borrowed against Hillsborough?

I didn't realise Radio Sheffield was the oracle of football. Thanks for confirming the Prince is skint.

Mandric took out a loan against the ground when he was the owner, pretty common practise in business, not risk free but common place.I used to work for a guy that had, 130M in his current account,he borrowed money as often as he could if the rates were low enough, called it free money, hed triple his money on a bad year, pay it back cream off the profit into account in australia where had family and go borrow some more. You do need to have wads in the bank to be able to borrow at those rates and scales which Chansiri has.

We used RBS at broomhill as a shell account and transfered the largest sums into 3 child trust accounts in Oz,we borrowed 40M,after we payed back,16M was sent to brisbane over a 6 year period,we then moved to Bath, and repeated the process over a simular period but with far better results in a shorter time scale,it was like printing your own money

You've  provided more financial transparency than what is apparently coming out of Hillsborough at the moment.

Chansari has borrrowed £6.4mil to be payed back in a year. I would imagine it’s to cover the running costs because of the lack of gate receipts

Its quite funny that after all the accusations and nonsense spouted by the likes of Radio Sheffield that this is all it is and ever was, the local jealousy certainly rears its head in these events. 😀

Where have you got your figures from?

None of the local football journalists can get any information from Mr Chansiri or the club in general as to what the size of the loan is or who the lender is?

As repeated a few times this week.  Everytime Radio Sheffield asks any questions, all they get is terse "No comment!"
