I must have wandered around them all with a set of spanners at one time or another, but I think it’s a thing of the past. Health and safety. RJRB   688 #8 Posted September 10, 2020 Most tube gets mangled in handling in scrap yards. You might be better off ringing round fabricators or ducting engineers for an offcut.
 Share this content via...
geared   311 #9 Posted September 10, 2020 You're unlikely to find pipe that wide in a car scrap yard, it's the sort of thing that would go straight to a metal yard, get tossed in a pile and crushed soon after.  I can't see anyone leaving something like that lying around doing nowt on the offchace someone might buy it. Google 'Steel tube stockist' or 'scrap metal dealers' Sheffield should get something near you. 2nd hand/ used ? places like Housley's or Heslwoods.  Daft as it sounds keep an eye out for a scrap man. all sorts of goodies on the back of their waggons.  Happy hunting.
 Share this content via...
