SteelMan75 10 #1 Posted September 4, 2020 Can anyone share any experiences of getting the council involved regarding noise nuisance created by a barking dog? Has it actually lead to the problem being resolved or does it just make for a terrible relationship with the owner? The best way to resolve these things is always to speak to the owners and see if you can resolve it that way, no arguments whatsoever with that approach. I'm just interested in, where that has failed, whether escalating it to the council has actually achieved anything. Thanks.
 Share this content via...
alchresearch 214 #2 Posted September 4, 2020 Council will probably ask you to keep a diary for 2-3 weeks. Then they'll just send out a letter to the owner, which generally gets ignored.
 Share this content via...

bassett one 452 #4 Posted September 4, 2020 in sheffield SCC spent huge amounts recruiting what they call area officers,ie these have been recruited to sort out these problems,in sheffield they give you a area officer who only covers several streets in your area inc yours and you deal with one person only and they resolve the issue for you and you dont have to speak to loads of people just your area officer, good luck hope you can or the officer can sort it. catmiss 12 #5 Posted September 6, 2020 Someone reported several dogs barking at a property nearby and action was taken pretty quickly. Turns out action had been taken before but residents had resumed dog breeding in residential garden. They had 12 female and 1 male dog so had a constant supply of puppies for sale
 Share this content via...
