jackanne 10 #2 Posted August 25, 2020 It's no more difficult than fitting a plug,3 wires connect to fitting in wall, turn electric off pull cooker out ,disconnect wires, move cooker, put new cooker in place, connect wires all done. geared 302 #4 Posted August 25, 2020 Nope, piece of cake. Probably 4 screws or so holding the oven to the unit, disconnect the wiring and it'll slide right out.
 Share this content via...
butlers 259 #5 Posted August 25, 2020 PM sent. Likiest thing to fail is the element, typically about £25 for a new one. If you take the old one to Sismans they would test it for you to confirm it's no good. Typically 3 spade terminals and 1 fixing bolt/ screw
 Share this content via...

peteh1 10 #9 Posted August 26, 2020 As has been already said, its most likely a failed element but should you need to swap out the oven and its hard wired (ie not plugged in to a 13A socket) then ensure you tighten the hard wired connecting terminals firmly, loose connections can cause arcing and possibly a fire. El Cid 212 #10 Posted August 26, 2020 My free standing over is playing. Sometimes it switches on and sometimes not. I bought it second hand, but I am thinking about getting another second hand one from ebay. The gap is just over 60cm, will a 50ch oven look odd? Maybe people just get some sort of strip to cover the gap?
 Share this content via...
