Anything to avoid losing power.

not really, they are the largest group on the council  by far. if this proves to be a successful agreement then it produces a sensible majority which will allow the city to move into the future with stable political leadership.

what's your alternative solution?

Just wait for next year's SCC elections, mind...

they have only had a fortnight to mess things up, lets see how they do in 40 weeks,

even though they lost a number of seats their overall share of the vote increased which just highlights the stupidity and anti-democratic nature of first past the post,

The investigation into ex Hull MP Mike Hill basically concludes that as soon as he was elected in 2017 he gave her a job in his office without any due process, then basically groomed her from that point on into trying to have an affair whilst his wife and family were back at home, even to make sure that their accommodation in London only had one bed.

Nice 😕

The Tories joined up with UKIP. That seems to have worked ok.

Once people tire of unimaginative, oppressive nationalism, who knows what they’ll do next.

Oh come on, even the hardcore right wing racists who vote UKIP aren't stupid enough to vote for them enough to get them more than a handful of seats in Parliament if that!
