I was listening to LBC yesterday and there was a former Labour voter, now Tory from one of the 'red wall' seats in the North East ringing in, complaining bitterly, that Labour had failed his area because they delivered no food banks, while the Tories have delivered 5.

Stockholm syndrome, it’s absolutely tragic and here’s another example.

Or uneducated voters ?

I think you are meaning that people with degrees are more likely to be remain voters, the difference may be just 2/3%

So the media have a great time calling voters uneducated.

I am 'uneducated' because I left school at 16, that is what most youngsters did in those days.

Thanks for posting this Mister Gee. It is truly astonishing.

What makes things even worse is it appears he was neither challenged nor corrected by the BBC interviewer.

Congratulations to all the regional mayors elected to their roles.

11 of 13 voted in are Labour.

Unsurprising then that Priti Patel has announced that the Government want to change the voting system for mayors to a first past the post system, which according to Prof. Tony Travers of the LSE will make it easier for Tory candidates to win these roles. Still I suppose whilst working on this will keep her from bullying more of her civil servants.

Well done to the mayors. Boo to Gerry Mandering.

So, Sir Keir, is rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

He hasn’t sacked Ms Rayner, a woman who left school with more babies than GCSEs, merely demoted her.

I know that Labour have very few MPs to choose from, but is the talent pool really that shallow?

I think that Mr Gee was criticizing the snide tone of your comment, not its factual content.

Actually I think it’s great, that a woman who left school with no qualifications could rise to such heights.

It could only happen in the Labour Party.

I think David Blunkett has it pretty much spot on here.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-9559939/Voters-want-hear-plan-future-not-nostalgia-past-writes-DAVID-BLUNKETT.html

I’ve always had a great deal of respect for David, ever since he presented me with my A level prizes at my local comp.

I need the Labour Party to present me with a manifesto of hope, areal plan for the future, rather than the mud slinging and politically correct pandering to minorities they currently espouse.
