The Labour Party - Part 2

That a man, who is possibly one of the most honest, least anti-semitic people you could find, can be treated this way, is unbelievable beyond words.

And to deny the Islington electorate the right to have a decent, hardworking, much loved and admired MP whom they have voted for consistently  for 36 consecutive years,  is against every tennet of Democracy.

An utter disgrace.

He may well be all of those things you say Anna, the trouble is, anti Semitism seems to have flourished under his leadership. I'm sure Jeremy Corbyn personally abhors anti Semitism, but the question I ask myself is why Jewish Labour MPs began facing this abuse after Jeremy became leader? Is it because the support he garnered from some far left activists in his leadership bid brought those people into local parties such as Liverpool Wavertree (Luciana Berger's previous constituency), or Stoke on Trent North (held by Ruth Smeeth) who were so utterly vile about these women because of their religious beliefs that they had to leave the party.

I've no idea why some Labour Party members thought it was appropriate to behave like this, but their actions, not Berger's, Smeeth's or Starmer's resulted in Jeremy Corbyn been expelled from the Party, and if polling is to be believed cost them many votes at the 2019 General Election.

No it's not. It's really rather pathetic. Well enjoy it while you can 'cos you don't seem to realise, like it or not, we actually are 'all in this together.' Unless you're one of the 'few' I'm afraid you too are going to suffer from the future machinations of the Tory party and their 40 year experiment with 'winner takes all Neoliberalism, and the rise of the Mega-Corporations.

We're in a mess and you're flying without a safety net. Covid wouldn't have been so bad without years of Austerity, and we've yet to feel the real impact of it. Is your job safe? Ido hope so 'cos benefits which are already inadequate are going to become a thing of the past. Hope you have savings, or friends you can sponge off. But of course inflation is going to rocket with all this QE so they won't have much either and your savings won't be worth diddly squat in a year or two. Well, maybe you could sell your house and downsize, oh but nobody's buying are they, 'cos nobody's got any money and house prices are dropping like a rock.

Nearly 400,000 people are already in serious arrears with their rent / mortgage repayments as we speak, and foodbank use is going off the scale. Better start stockpiling just in case, but there's not much in the shops. Think your well paid job will save you? Well sorry, but there's no guarantee of that right to the top of the pay chain, in fact as we've seen from this pandemic, it's the low paid jobs that are essential. And yours? Well you're just too expensive mate...

Feeling a bit poorly now? bad luck, the pandemic all but wiped out the NHS so now it's all private, and it's fantastic - if you can afford it, but moving is more expensive than you realised now, and you didn't get the price you were hoping for.

But don't worry, the economy will perk up eventually, well it will for J*** B****  with his 139 Billion, he's making another few billion every day, maybe that will trickle down - but don't hold your breath, that's his money and he's keeping it. Why should he pay for the likes of you? Well actually he isn't, he's going to replace you with AI so keep your thieving hands off his money, after all, if he can do it so can you. Anyone can. Especially if you've got a few grand /spare million or so, for a new start up which of course you have, if you cancel the kids school fees and send them to the local Comp. And providing Boris doesn't decide to help himself to what's in your piggy bank with a new tax 'cos he's a bit short.

Then there's Brexit. We haven't even mentioned Brexit yet. Boris got it done alright. Just not very well. He kind of lost interest after the nervous breakdown. And there are holes appearing all over the supply chain and prices are rocketing again....

If only there was somebody sensible, honest and fair to help you sort this lot out, but there isn't any more.

Never mind.Thank God for Mrs Thatcher and deregulation eh. Where would we be without her...?

all that yet the left and right of the labour party see fit to wage war on each other instead? Oo

It’s quite reasonable to ask Anna to give some more details. She’s asserted that a significant number of Jewish members of the Labour Party are campaigning to have Corbyn reinstated.  It would greatly add to the discussion if she supplied us with some details of the size and scope of the campaign.

If you don’t like questions, you are probably in the wrong place.

Try this https://jewishnews.timesofisrael.com/30000-sign-petition-to-reinstate-suspended-jeremy-corbyn-launched-by-jvl/

or this:https://www.thecanary.chttps://skwawkbox.org/2019/11/27/pan-european-jewish-organisation-sends-letter-of-support-to-corbyn/o/opinion

or this:

Thanks Anna.

The top link is interesting. Are the 60 000 signatures Jewish people, or is it just

a petition started by JVL and signed by anybody? That’s obviously an important detail.

The other two links are irrelevant, given that they both pre-date the last election and the EHRC report.  I thought that you were evidencing the Jewish support for Corbyn being re-instated.

Can you say a bit more?

For example, if they are the “wrong type of Jews”, what is the “right” kind?

I dont really think i need to explain Tom, you know where i am coming from, but i will explain, for me there are neither right or wrong type of Jew, but for the media they  only like to talk of the type of Jew that hates Corbyn, the others? nah, were not bothered about talking about them

It's the latter.  I saw it circulated on other Labour social media sites last week, anyone could and did sign it.

Excellent post!

I saw some of these before but couldn't find it again. That's the trouble, I'm not very adept at searching, and often hear things but can't remember the source to check.

Good grief.   That old pile of tut still being wheeled out.

I remember that bullet list being posted the last 101 desperate times people tried to defend Saint Jeremy.

Time for some new material lads.
