Boris apologising for his comments is such an unlikely thing to happen that any reply would be meaningless. You might as well ask someone what they would do if aliens landed tomorrow.

But Angie Rayners apology is meaningful ?

Didn't he actually get on a train and go to Liverpool to prostrate himself personally and in public for comments he made about that mediocre city and its people?

Angela Rayner has a very necessary place in the government, not least for balance.

I don't particularly like her, but so what, I don't like a lot of MPs. But surely the point should be, is she a good MP overall and is she doing her job? From what I've seen she is.

Here are a couple more from the Corbyn Clown Show that seem to be in line for being fired by the grown ups. Let's hope the party follows through.

Ah, the "Hooked on Grief" scenario.  He was right. At the time they were.  This news report from around that time sums it up:

Tributes left for a dead chicken
Flowers and tributes were left in an alleyway where the body of a mystery dead baby was found - before police realised it was only a chicken foetus.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/merseyside/4372230.stm

This is the best bit:

Quote

Merseyside Police told the community on Monday to "stop grieving, it's only a chicken".

@alchresearch it's the actual answer to to @altus 's point though.

Look, let's be serious and honest for a moment. Nobody asks a politician of any stripe to apologise because they will accept the apology, no matter how heartfelt it may or may not be. Calling for apologies is just another downward notch in the ratchet of ever worsening political grandstanding. Let's not get sucked into the nonsense.

That is the constitutional position of  the Opposition

Possibly, but that also might've been the editor of the Sun newspaper after hack Mackenzie  traduced football fans as ******* on dead bodies at Hillsborough football ground

She's doing her job.

And as Starmer continues to purge the Labour party of Socialists, she is one of the few remaining in what is supposed to be a Socialist party to stand up for socialist causes. That's what I mean by balance. Fortunately Starmer doesn't have the power to get rid of the deputy leader or I'm sure he would.

The opposition party is supposed to oppose the government and has the power to vote against government plans if they disagree with them. If enough vote thus, they may be able to prevent a bill going through. So they do have some power.

PS. Tony, I don't know how anyone who supports Bumbling Boris has the cheek to refer to 'Corbyn's Clown Show.' I suggest you sort out your own leadership problems before you criticise others....

Antisemitism or not antisemitism?

Yea, it's antisemitism. Here's why.

The Novara Media commentator in your video seems to avoid talking about the anti-Semitic chanting. Wonder why.
