The Labour Party - Part 2

Recommended Posts

Webbe was suspended by the Labour Party September 2020, and expelled 3 November 2021.

Good riddance to her, she sounds like a nasty piece of work.

It didn't.

Sentencing was today.

Did Labour  know she was guilty yesterday ?

Everybody who was paying attention knew she was guilty on October 13.

I'm struggling to understand the point that you are trying to make.

People in glass houses Hacks.

You should try looking up the suspension of Charlie "I'm a naughty Tory" Elphicke from his party.

If she was guilty on October 13 , why have a trial ? and why wait until yesterday to expel her from the party ?

Its probably best if you go and read about her trial and about Labour's actions. You could perhaps check out the timelines

It might save you from further embarrassment.

They did. Well done for getting one piece of the jigsaw sorted.

Now. When was she found guilty?

Well done again.

Now, what do you think happened between October 13 and yesterday? And why?

Starmer still has a long way to go to clear out the dross and detritus from the party

Quote

Paul Hynes QC representing Webbe read out character references from former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and former shadow home secretary Diane Abbott.

Ms Abbott said the defendant was "very committed to working to support women", describing her "warm, empathetic manner" and added: "I regard her as a very honest woman."

While Mr Corbyn said she was "very committed to ensuring the administration of justice is done" and prepared to "state uncomfortable truths when it matters".

However, District Judge Paul Goldspring said he had found Webbe "untruthful" in her evidence.

"Some of the things she said I believe were made up on the spur of the moment," he said.

"Some things she said in the witness box just don't bear scrutiny.

"In short, I find Ms Webbe to be vague, incoherent and at times illogical."

Corbyn's out, now Abbott needs to be out on her arse a bit sharpish.
