I know pollsters carry out polls on voting intension every month, but not on whether people supprt PR.

I know polls are done (every week) but they are all irrelevant as only the election polls matter

Jeremy Corbyn made a point of welcoming all his new MPs and supported all the MPs in the Labour Party.  Even those who were against him. He was also willing to work with them all, to unite the party.

Unlike Starmer who has split the party by expelling the Socialists.

Anna, even Labour MP's passed a vote of no confidence in him. That's how terrible he was. Best to move on, it's over.

What the left should be doing, is giving 'their' man some good media coverage. Who is 'their' man?

See the link I posted previously.  Yougov run a poll on this about once every 6 months, the most recent one being just last month, and it's been consistently showing roughly 42% for PR and 30% for FPTP, with 28% of people not having an opinion

The graph starts in 2019, maybe Yougov see it as an issue which has grown and will continue to be relevant?

That's an excellent question, just who is he? Starmer is making John Major look exciting and dynamic. Nobody believes his working class backstory so he might as well ditch it before it makes him look stupid and while he's plodding through some very unpalatable Party stuff and people that need taking care of he needs a moment to define him. Perhaps something like a Curry?

Keir Rodney Starmer was born in Southwark, London, on 2 September 1962[1][2] and grew up in the small town of Oxted in Surrey.[3][4][5] He was born the second of the four children of Josephine (née Baker), a nurse, and Rodney Starmer, a toolmaker.[5][6][7] His mother had Still's disease.[8][9] His parents were Labour Party supporters, and named him after the party's first parliamentary leader, Keir Hardie.[10][11] He passed the 11-plus examination and gained entry to Reigate Grammar School,[11] then a voluntary aided selective grammar school, although it was converted into an independent fee-paying school in 1976 while he was there (although he was exempt from paying fees).

Lets drop the fact that you don't speak for everyone nor do you know their opinions.

Which bit of the above don't you believe?

Its these kind of sweeping generalisations that are so difficult to argue with  - no specifics,  no facts, dog whistle phrases.

Boris may something like this.......... "We are doing everthing that is humanly possible to fight (insert problem here) " "to wrestle it to the ground and give it a good kicking, just like they would have done in (insert years of you choice here) when good old British common sense was accepted by all right thinking people!".  What does this actually mean?

Those were the days.

When a kid could get into Grammer school, and a fee paying private school for free, and fly high.

Highly unlikely to happen now. We forelock tuggers know our place. ..

No evidence of that according to Tory Peer, Lord Ashcroft.

I was in the same year as Starmer at Leeds Uni.

I don’t think that either of us had particularly privileged upbringings.

We did both benefit from free at the point of access higher education. I think we’ve both probably repaid that debt by now.

So. I don’t really understand your point.

Not true.  Private schools near me offer free scholarships for gifted and talented (but poor) pupils.

Anyway, to take the conversation in a slightly different direction, is anyone watching this series on the BBC?

Its nice to reminisce about how good Labour once was :-)

Ed Milliband standing in for Keir Starmer doing a grand job in Prime Ministers Questions today.

Are we watching a future leader of the Labour Party? And possibly Future Labour Prime Minister?

Looking and sounding good....
