creweblade   10 #1 Posted July 29, 2020 Anyone else having much reduced post deliveries ? Used to get post daily and in handsworth it's now down to seeing a postie on our road twice a week if we're lucky - aware maybe a bit less advertising mail but twice a week service is poor so get your finger out Royal Mail
 Share this content via...
Ghozer   112 #2 Posted July 29, 2020 Well, there has kinda been a virus going round, and some kinda pandemic of some sort... Where most people have been at home for the past few months... and businesses not operating... and as a result not sending out correspondence.
 Share this content via...
jane2008 Â Â 15 #3 Posted July 29, 2020 I love not getting as much rubbish through the letterbox.
 Share this content via...
Rollypolly   51 #4 Posted July 29, 2020 Royal Mail employees are amongst those who have continued to work throughout lockdown so I think telling them to get their finger or is a bit unfair. Our deliveries haven't suffered at all and I don't know of anyone else who has noticed a difference. Perhaps as Ghozer said there just isn't as much mail going out
 Share this content via...
catmiss   12 #5 Posted July 30, 2020 No difference for me and still see postie delivering daily in my area with added benefit of earlier delivery time
 Share this content via...
northernboy   13 #6 Posted July 30, 2020 Roughly twice a week here too, sometimes late afternoon or early evening. First class taking 3 or 4 days to arrive. Royal Mail are obviously struggling to meet their targets. Understandable, but still a bit frustrating if you’re waiting for something important. Annie Bynnol   596 #7 Posted July 30, 2020 No noticeable difference Less junk and a few deliveries later in the day. No difference to parcel delivery either. Thanks PO
 Share this content via...
alarmingmark   32 #8 Posted July 30, 2020 (edited) No problem with delivery’s at my end of Handsworth , in fact parcels arrived faster than pre lock down ! probably due to lack of junk mail... BigAl1 Â Â 142 #9 Posted July 30, 2020 I have not noticed any problem and I am very grateful to the posties who have continued to work during the epidemic and always have a pleasant word to say - I have no complaints about less junk mail and if they have had to reduce deliveries in your area why not contact them rather than moan here - I mean just how time sensitive is your mail
 Share this content via...

MEC176 Â Â 10 #12 Posted July 30, 2020 Our postie in Chapeltown S35 is brilliant times vary for delivery between 10am to 2pm to us, he starts at 4am, depending on quantity of post and how many staff they have they do struggle he has said some day's it's as bad as Christmas, so some times none urgent parcel delivery's are done on a Saturday as more people shop on line there are not enough hours in the day to do both. They are a credit to the Royal Mail.
 Share this content via...
