It appears that a PR firm handed a £670,000 contract by the head of the Government's Vaccine Taskforce is linked to Dominic Cummings' father-in-law, it was claimed today. 

The Tories certainly know how to look after their own,  there needs to be questions about how many contracts have gone to the governments friends without going out to tender.

but during a pandemic when we need good public health management and strong government leadership we consistantly see money given hand over fist to companies with "links" to  people who are in or very close to government. sometimes instead of companies better able to deal with it?

Keir Starmer brought up this blatant Croneyism in today's PMs questions. The money involved is eyewatering. The answers, such as they were, were not convincing.

Boris made much of the need to tackle climate change in his attempt to salvage some sort of positive relationship with the next US president. I doubt his new appointment has escaped Mr Biden's notice.
