Because It wasn't fair ,  to make it fairer .

Because in your warped world, taking money from areas that need it and giving it to areas that don't need it is 'fair'. Then you get upset that local authorities in financial crisis fail to adequately protect children, when local authorities with plenty of funding have no difficulty recruiting and retaining child and family social workers, yet you fail to see the links.

Theres a reason why there was supposed to be a levelling up policy, ill give you time to think why that might be.

Hopefully @Baron99 can explain why they have faith in the 'leveling up' fake policy, if Sunak has admitted they've been doing the opposite.

Exactly right, which makes a change for you,  :suspect: and millions of other people heard him making his greasy, seedy plans to look after that lot down south and robbing the Northerners, call your self a Yorkshireman.  :gag:

Now there's the rub... If Sunak has admitted it when he didn't as what he said in that partial video clip was fairly clear. Now question why the clip had been truncated and the rest of the clip was not shown!

Hmmm...

Well here's a bit of a curved ball for you all to think about then...

... what if he really doesn't want the job?

What if, like a lot of politicians, he wants it to APPEAR that he has ambition to run the country...

... but secretly, like most of them, he doesn't want the responsibility?

Maybe 'things' got out of hand and it turned out that none of them really wanted the job, but he was unfortunately one of the last two to 'make their escape'?

Maybe now he's making a last attempt to undermine his own 'popularity'? :suspect:

It's obviously going to be a far easier life to always be a 'number 2' (insert witty remark here) and make people believe you're capable of being a 'number 1'...
... than actually being given the job of 'number 1' and proving to everyone you're really a bit of a 'number 2'! :hihi:

If he is saying he wants to level up everywhere then the obvious logical conclusion from that is that he will not be removing it from those less well off. It seems to be a simple matter of redistribution to make the whole system fairer, as hacky lad has already alluded to.

Its NOTHING but semantics, theres a reason certain areas needed more than other areas, if you "redistribute" to those areas too, then it means the other areas that have less historically wont have levelled up? theyre constantly going to be under funded compared to other areas.

If he is redistributing, then …..

Ah. What is the point in arguing with a brick wall.
