The Conservative Party - Part Two.

With regards to the substance of the claims in the article that notoriously appeared then disappeared in the Times, both Lord Ashcroft, a bigwig in the Tory Party, and Alan Duncan a former Tory Foreign Office Minister have both confirmed the story.

Hasn't one of them just released a book to sell, or maybe both have?

Odd that a SF poster who has repeatedly says that he's not a Tory, spends a great deal of time defending Tories - But there you go.

Not defending the Tories at but defending the truth as newspapers tend to bend the truth somewhat. Just to add, I have not defended either the Tories or Johnson for that matter.

And Johnson did not deny the claims when asked at PMQs.

Which means he did not admit it.

And you seemed so sure of yourself too.

Yes I know, love of oneself is good isn't it..... :hihi:

Whichever way you call it the article was withdrawn and that's what counts.

Glad you like it but you do seem easily pleased.

The retraction of the story was featured on the TV news channels. I'm surprised some people hadn't heard about it.

I wonder when Johnson gets booted out of office and he writes about his time in office whether it will be on the fiction or non fiction section of the bookstore?

Destined for the bargain bin anyway 😄

Which means he knew that denying it would have been lying to the house and a resigning matter under the ministerial code - even the relaxed interpretation of it he recently announced.

Regardless on your views on other parties - I honestly think you’d have to have a bit of a screw loose to back Boris Johnson at the moment.

he’s taking a wrecking ball to this country.

it needs to stop before it’s irreparable.
