59% supported Boris today.  In the final MPs ballot in 2019  51%  supported Boris.

A bigger victory today than in 2019.

Carry on Boris

God loves a trier.

Perfect result. Let the Tory civil war commence.

Yep, although I think we should give them all real knives for the occasion.

We’d have to make an exemption for Mogg, he’d need a rival for a fencing duel.

...which means the majority of the government endorse an unprincipled liar.  Say no more.

Hilarious.  That's a bit like saying Ukraine losing 1-0 to Wales is a perfect result for Ukraine.  A perfect result for the anti Boris / anti Tory mob would have been Boris losing the confidence vote.

Here's hoping he suffers a long and painful political death.

That is what he deserves for all the damage he and his party have inflicted on his own people and the damage he has done to the reputation of this country worldwide.

I'm glad he won the vote because outside of replacing him with either Tom Tugendhat or Johnny Mercer, the rest of the 'favourite' names are merely a bunch political lightweights.

I still feel find it impossible to defend his part in 'Partygate' but the vote has taken place & its now time for Johnson to get the policies out & start this 'levelling up', then this will quieten the dissenters.

It certainly seems that cabinet are more interested in themselves than making decisions for the benefit of the Nation, but I suppose when the boss is a lying self serving narcissist anything goes

I don’t really care who leads any party but I do believe they have to have the good of the Nation at heart and not to  do it purely for personal glorification.

I long thought that Bojo was his own worst enemy, perhaps he has more company than I imagined. He was never going to be Mr Popular, but then again few politicians achieve this, he will go up my book if he battles on and wins the next general election against all the odds, and I’m not even a Tory supporter.

He got less votes of support than Theresa May.
