There will be another general election in 2024.  That's how democracy works in our country.

That doesn't mean we can't point out the failings of the current administration in the meantime. I fact, in a democracy we have a duty to point them out.

So as westy pronounced, after partygate and the Sue Gray report we have more important things to deal with.

So what do they do?

Go to the lowest common denominator, appeal again to the racists, little Englander's and so called 'patriots

Taking back control of our imperial measures lol

Latest YouGov modelling suggests if there was an election now Boris Johnson would lose his seat.

Quote

The Conservative party faces the prospect of largescale losses in Con-Lab battlegrounds up and down England and Wales, according to YouGov’s latest MRP model.

From the 88 constituencies which the Conservatives either (a) won from Labour in 2019, or (b) currently hold with a majority of less than 15pts over Labour, our modelling predicts that just three would remain in Conservative hands: Ashfield, Bassetlaw, and Dudley North.

It only focusses on the Conservative-Labour battlegrounds, so doesn't even consider the seats where other parties are the Conservatives' main challenger.

That's something to give Tory MPs a few sleepless nights.

In the 2000's the Tories were worried that their increasingly aged support would be the end of the party's ability to win elections. Anybody under 50 will have been taught metric as the primary measurement system at school. It's 20 years since the Tories realised focussing on old people was a losing strategy, it now looks like they are aiming for self immolation.

I cannot believe  anyone would want to revert to the imperial system.

I spent over 40 years working with the metric system and use it at home, my children ( aged 50) probably haven't a clue how many lbs in a stone or ounces in a pound.

I despair.

The bloke is a .....moron

More important things like RPI inflation at 11.1% and still rising.

How can they go into the next election with the Conservatives failing on the economy, record debt, high deaths from COVID, record NHS waiting times?

Do we have higher wages, but now slipping behind inflation, what increase will the government give to local authority employees, with RPI inflation at 11.1%?

All those that carried on working during the lockdown!
