Coronavirus - Part Two.

Recommended Posts

Just heard about "Covid Parties" this morning. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coronavirus_party

One chap who attended one; recently died from Covid; and was apparently full of regret and sorrow ("I made a mistake") on his death-bed. Thing is, it's not him I feel sorry for; it's the people who may have contracted Covid just because they happened to walk by him on the street, or sit next to him on a bus.

Trying to contract Covid intentionally, because you're on an ego-trip trying to prove something, and then going about in society like you're invincible; well, should other people die as a result of your stupidity, it's tantamount to manslaughter, and you should be locked up for the public good.

It's the same with wearing a mask; or vaccinations; it's about our collective protection, we all do it and we all benefit.

I’ve just been to Sainsbury’s.

They've given up counting in and out now. No queues, no restrictions. You can sanitise your own trolley if you like, but that’s it.

Apart from the chaos at the checkouts because they aren’t clear about how they want you to queue.

Fortnum’s for me next week😀

Sainsbury's on The Moor are still counting their customers in & out.  When things get a bit busy, the staff get the customers to queue up the side street just off The Moor.

Nobody following the one way system around the store though & none of the staff are wearing face coverings, just like the majority of the customers.

Make it mandatory?

Use common sense?

Why does everything seem to take an eternity to decide these days?!

I'm getting ready for the next question - What constitutes a shop?!

Is a cinema a shop?

Is a chemist a shop?

Is a hair dresser's a shop?

Is a post office a shop?

Get ready....

The rule in  France is that you should wear your face covering when entering and leaving a restaurant. And also if you leave your seat,  for example to visit the toilet.

You don’t need to wear one when eating, or drinking.

Drinking hat.  Run the tubes down behind the face covering / mask.  Sorted!

Can't help you with the restaurant / eating issue.

All food blended in to smoothies. Put in the drinks hat.

You've thought this through.  😁  Problem solved.

What we can do when we work together.

Just seen on the BBC news that they are reporting, (that means it's already been leaked to them), that face coverings are to become mandatory when entering retail outlets.

I wonder if this is the same kind of mandatory wearing that takes place, (or in many cases, according to my wife, doesn't take place), on public transport, with an endless list of exemptions for those who don't have to wear face coverings or those who apparently just can't be bothered but never are challenged?
