They literally have no exit plan, they cant keep doing this to their citizens for ever. They have even shut construction sites, and people in Melbourne who are deemed close contacts of people who may have it are not even allowed to open their windows at home, its absolutely bonkers.

I think they were hoping it would disappear round the rest of the world and they could just reopen the borders.

Can you point us to that window regulation, seems pretty unlikely at first reading

Its totally unsustainable though what they are doing down there. Do you think they will be able to keep their borders closed forever and lock their citizens up forever for the sake of 8 local cases or whatever?

By all means. Go and listen to the Christian O'Connell podcast on Gold 104.3 from this Monday morning, the newsreader is having to work from home as her daughters school has been deemed a Tier 1 site, and cites this rule as part of a 14 day quarantine period.

And yet

 From  the Victoria .gov site.

If you are caring for someone in isolation you are told too have thier window open if possible.

Same with self isolation, keep window open.

Ventilate bathroom .

You can even go outside if you have a private garden / balcony

So she went on the radio and lied then? Interesting.

It may be different for a "Tier 1 contact site" or whatever, in any case it would be ridiculous to police.

It would be ridiculous to police but it's NOT true.

Actually the .gov site is very plain about how you should behave in isolation and good hygiene practices.

Looks like OZ got unlucky betting the house on AZ.

So their regular newsreader went on state-wide radio on Monday and lied then?

We are doing about 250-300k jabs a day, way down from the peak of about 500k. Now I don't know if it's lack of vaccines, lack of the right type of vaccines or lack of uptake from young people but this might help focus a few minds.

It is lack of uptake in the main....certainly in Doncaster anyway.

I’ll message my sister in law in Fitzroy.

She should have the correct info. You’d hope so anyway.

68% have had both does, 81% had one (all adults presumably) in Doncaster.

I've heard we're short on Pfizer vaccines.
