I think we all agree that Mr Blobby (aka BoJo) has been responsible for many thousands of deaths through his pandering to the electorate rather than implementing a lockdown and closing the borders as soon as it came apparent that the pandemic was arriving in Britain. But can you blame him?

All through his life he has been looking for publicity - whether it wass the lying and cheating that he did as an editor, or the racist remarks he made to keep himself in the headlines, or the fact that his girlfriend (aka Princess Nutjob) and her dog was his focus when he should have been running the county - these are all facts on record which he doesn't deny.

He supports bullies (Pritti Patel - proven) and has not got a moral bone in his body (afaiac). But yet the sheep reelected him.

He needs to be held accountable for these deaths, Count DoCu is reprehensible in his own right, but the records will show that Boris is a killer.

Oh come on, it's a known fact most Tory voters are hardcore right wing Barmpot Daily Fail readers who'd actually vote for a Sheep if it wore their colours :D

Very amusing.   I thought using the private message system was the correct way to respond to your comment towards me.  I'm happy for you that my opinion of you is of no value.  Perhaps you should refrain from calling other forum users disgusting human beings, if you don't wish to receive private messages.

I stand by my original comments because I believe care homes are over used in this country.  More families should look after their own elderly relatives in family homes.

Ah, the good old days of the extended family before deindustrialization and Norman Tebbit telling us to get on our bikes to look for work and become a nuclear family.

My family as had to put two members of our family into care centres. It is the most hardest and difficult decision you will ever make one had Dementia advanced condition their was no way we could care for her the other was end of life care both needed 24 hour specialised care plans. It is all well and good people judging your decision but you have to think what is best for that person  also I like to point out care is not free to all either.  The latter's care was during this Pandemic the care home did their very best in the most difficult time everyone who entered was checked and ask if they had symptoms and constant cleaning was carried out.

A lot of the posts on this thread suggest a Tory-Labour split but watching Cummings' appearance before the joint select committee yesterday, it was apparent most of the Tory members of the committees were engaged and asking incisive questions aimed at getting at 'learning lessons' rather than defending the government.

I am also encouraged by the engagement of the news media. I suspect everybody feels that the media often confuses what is big with what is small. The mishandling of the pandemic is big ... tens of thousands of British lives lost big. Of course here the 'Cummings is after revenge', 'Cummings is a sh*t' is the small story and the failure of British government and institutions is the big story.

Just to get this straight:

You thought that an abusive private message was an appropriate response?

As I see more of your personal low standards, I’m beginning to understand why you find Johnson’s conduct acceptable

With the greatest respect, @Mr Allen, that is a very silly statement, which rather reduces my respect for you., but if you want to play politics, most Labour voters are extreme left wing Morning Star 'readers'.

Sorry to hear your stories, you both must have been through a terrible time.

This is why I get so mad when nasty allegations by unthinking and uncaring people are made against others who are trying to do the best they can.

As well as families being spread far and wide for work, looking after elderly relatives with dementia or other age related health problems that need 24 hour specialist care wasn't much of an issue in the good old days because people didn't usually live long enough to develop them.

Thank you. I have had this before people criticising my families decision without knowing the full facts .
