Coronavirus - Part Two.

Recommended Posts

Just caught up with the BBC's "Newswatch" programme where they were discussing  Cummings' being questioned in Parliament.

Intresting that he openly named himself as a source for some of  Laura Kuenssberg's stories on the Coronavirus, when she'd usually state such as "A source close to the Prime Minister", etc.

It raises the question, was she simply being fed stories which she simply repeated as fact & if she does this with the Conservatives, presumably she also does the same with Labour?   Where's the checking of actual facts; where's the journalistic & BBC integraty?

there is plenty of fact checking going on. journalists will always find a polititican or official ready to gossip and there was nothing in what was said on wednesday which contradicted anything we all knew and was apparent from the public actions and words of the government.

i guess a few regret not taking the prime minister up on his desire to be injected live on tv. i presume they won't be so slow to accept when the next one comes around....

I think many have learnt from Trump that you don’t have to play the their tune if you don’t want too.

How did that turn out for Trump?

Based  on current figures, Italy will replace the UK for most deaths in Europe in about 10 days.

Also based on current figures and excluding Gibraltar and San Marino, the UK has the 12th worst death rate in Europe.

But democratic accountability is important surely, and Ministers putting themselves up for scrutiny is part of this

Probably not.

If Businesses go down the Loo because of lockdown, they'll just be forced to let all their staff go :(

Why? - unless the July date gets changed - no need.

Save for very few jobs - If you’re still furloughed you might want to think if you still have a job.
