There must be a shortage. I thought the government had ordered millions  of doses. That is what we were told.

Same as any other commodity.

Delivery when available.Lets hope that production can be stepped up to minimise delays.

Also some of the vaccines ordered have yet to be fully tested and approved.

This originally applied to those currently rolled out so at least the government seems to have acted in a timely fashion in this at least

I have had one for years, bought it on ebay for around £10/£12

People will spend £100 on a mobile phone, but they dont even think about spending £20 on their health.

To be clear, I'm not criticising people for not buying one... I'm criticising the BBC for not finding this info for 10 months.

What do their journalists do all day?

I think probably stood in front of a mirror practising how to say in a stern voice... 'Laura Kuensburg, BBC, In a terrible place, thanks to this government'

To be fair, I think many will not have been aware that these were available to be purchased until the recent news. I certainly wasn't. I always thought they were specialist equipment used by the medical profession.

This is news to me, but what's more important is this for people with such a device - when a device shows low levels, what's best for us to do instead of troubling the overstretched HNS?  deep breathing?  drink water? eat chocolate? or what???

 

And .. Are these devices good for diagnosing other medical problems?

I've got one like that. It goes on my wrist. I have one that goes on my finger-like the one they use in hospital. The one that goes on my finger, I bought from Lloyds Pharmacy Heeley Green. Cost me £45 -

but worth every penny.

Why would I? I don't get paid by them to scour the world's news for them!

 

I sent this link to everyone in my email, posted it on Facebook, and posted it in here. I also emailed the Chief Medical officer's office a couple of weeks before to offer my blood for testing, as I thought I had had this virus, when there weren't many known cases in the country. No response from any.

What more should I do?

I don't think they would need tipping off about a story  in one of USA biggest newspapers. They're too busy finding sob stories from someone who hasn't had a sandwich this morning due to government negligence.

 

Yesterday on the news, the first 19 mins of 30 mins of news was about USA.

I believe if you have covid and it shows dangerously low levels you need to be calling 999 to get into hospital ASAP.

I read GPs are going to start giving these to people in vulnerable categories to use so they can be monitored at home with covid.

If your oxygen levels are dangerously low you need help Covid or not.
