Kidorry
I am thinking of buying a booster but I do not want to pay some of the silly prices I have seen. Can anyone recommend a decent one.

Kidorry
I have tried all my wi-fi gadgets in every room and they all seem to be O.K. The only worry was my very old laptop that I put Linux Mint on but that worked a treat. So thank you for your help and patience.

Older hardware will work OK, it just won't return the same speed as the newer tech. Unless you plan on streaming high resolution video or downloading large files, I doubt you'll notice too many problems.
