despritdan 241 #18 Posted June 30, 2020 I like going to see live bands at places like The Greystones and The Millstone but I can't see that being possible for a long time if ever.
 Share this content via...

Baron99 795 #21 Posted July 1, 2020 Just heard the manager of the Sheaf View at Heeley on Radio Sheffield's news state that they definitely WON'T be opening this Saturday & they will remain closed until they can work out how to operate within the COVID-19 regulations as they consider the safety of their staff & customers to be paramount. The group that own The Sheaf View, also own The Blake at Walkley & The Wellington at Neepsend, have also said that these other 2 pubs won't be opening this weekend. However, Crookes Social Club are transforming their bowling green into a beer garden facility & will be open.
 Share this content via...

Which is a pain because both the Blake and The Welly are regular watering holes for me. We've decided to wait a week to see how things settle down before going out. The Raven is opening on Monday 6th which seems sensible but we'd rather wait a bit until places have had a chance to put the new regulations into practice and people might have calmed down a bit after the first week. He's not opening until Monday of next week when it will be a bit quieter & he & his staff can ease in & iron out any problems they have with their new procedures. He's certainly no intention of opening on the 4th July. None of Green Kings pubs are opening until 6th July, He can make out its him making that decision, but it is head office.
