I wonder what the difference was between what Wednesday did and what Derby did as Derby have been cleared of two charges by the EFL.

Wasn't the issue for us as to the year the sale of the ground was put in rather than valuation where as Derby was down to the price put on the stadium.

Not sure it's worth us appealing though, think we'll still be stuck with a 12 deduction

Maybe we missed a trick, should have stuck an extra 10/15M on and wiped away some of DCs mistakes from his earlier years

Now that all this is out in the open, wonder how many still think Mester Chancer is a great bloke who is just badly advised?

Oh, and all my "cut and paste" from the EFL documentation, which is now deleted, you can go and find it if you are really interested.

Not only does it paint SWFC management in a bad light, it shows that even when they are trying to cheat, they still can't get their act together, hence the fact the books are wrong and the time travel back dating had to be attempted! 😄

we only did the same as derby ect,but his accountants failed to do it in a way that the others did,its already proven hes innocent,it was just a silly mistake and that doesnt make him a bad person,if he was he wouldnt be allowed to run the club, pity football is not like any other business as we would be promoted by now,as he would of spent a lot more, but we will be okay in the end.

The charges against him were thrown out, he may of been badly advised or just incompetent when it comes to running a football club, who knows. Either way it still looks bad on the owner as the buck stops with him as in most businesses.

Hopefully he's learnt from it if it was just him being naive.

Something needs to be said about what's happening with the FFP while crowds aren't there, alot of club chairman will need to put money in to help prop up the club if they're reliant on matchday revenue so hopefully they'll say something soon about it.

Let's put this into proper perspective on the "invest what you want" and being in the prem.

Investing whatever you want will not get you into the top division without being in the top 2 or winning the playoffs (of course) and when 6 or 7 clubs "invest what they want", only 3 go up. Then next year another 6 or 7 "invest what they want"... you see where this is going? After a few years, there will be a whole list of clubs with 50, 60, 70 millions debt and owners who just dump them into administration cos nobody will buy the club from them.

FFP is aimed at stopping that scenario. In reality, any business that runs at an average of £13M loss each year is a pretty poorly run business.

i disagree with any team losing money is bad ,as its not about that so much in football, how do you compete with those with parachute payments? who have 3 chances of promotion with a huge advantage?,worried about teams going into administration thats easy make the owner pay the league a deposit in case they do,say if they wish to spend the same as them that came down they must deposit that amount in a separate bank that is kept by the FA,but all teams can only do that if they havent had the chance of the parachute money, but many companys lose cash and then achieve there full potential and sell out at a profit.but hes a top man,but does need advice on how to run a football club thats tied to FA rules,i thought the wolves way was best sign top players on loan and only sign them if they get you promotion,it worked well and gave them a top team once up as well.

Parachute payments don't always give any advantage, it's about how the club is run. Just ask such as Stoke, Hull, Sunderland, Wigan, there's a long list of clubs that came down and stayed down because they were living way beyond their means.
