Sheffield Peregrin Falcons 2020

Recommended Posts

One of the adults has just flown out of the box with pigeon remains towards the red brick towers.  The youngsters on the ledge were both flapping wings as if they were going to follow.  Fascinating stuff

It is a great view, on a sunny day you can see the wind turbines at the junction of M1/M18.

Had a look yesterday evening and there were three birds in view.

Something to watch now the peregrines have fledged. There's a pair of hobbys that are nesting in a Saker falcons nest box. It was used this year and the sakers managed to fledge 1 chick. The egg in the LH corner is one that didn't hatch from the sakers.

They've been seen mating, so hopefully we'll get to see a successful nest.
