I don't think you'd want to see it now. When I walked up Smallage Lane three or four months ago the fly tipping was horrendous, and that was before the tips were shut down.

Is that the small row of houses that leads to treeton dyke? i know it from the 80s, the woods are falconer woods?

No, I just went for a walk taking in Treeton, Aughton and Ulley.

I always remember the scary farmhouse in the middle of the woods in the mid 80s, but in the 40s i presume it was still in use? and not as scary lol

Hi melthebell

my mum  lived there in the forties  her  dad my grandad  lived on there  for 80 odd years he was a character  he knew every inch of that area and could tell  some stories

My dad worked at NCB Fence workshop from late 60's to big strike. Some of his workmates lived on Falconer Lane.

I lived on there for  a while in the seventies with my grandad  probably  knew them cheers  HIBBSY
