Recommended Posts

Nook Brewery in Holmfirth are doing home deliveries at this end; free delivery within 5 mile radius.  They do bottles, 5L casks and 10L beer in a bag in a box!

Abbeydale Brewery will deliver mini kegs, see their website for details.

I can vouch for this. I have several empty mini kegs in my cellar, awaiting recycling.

£20 ish for a five litre mini keg. Free local delivery for orders over £25.

The  Harlequin on Nursery  Street is open every day from 5-9pm with a choice of two real ales to take away.    I've taken advantage of this every night since the start of the lockdown.   They also offer (subject to availability - they can sell fast!)  excellent home cooked pies in oven or microwave ready containers and can obtain fruit, vegetables, cooked meats and cheese at wholesale prices.

Best to contact them first (by social media) rather than just turn up.

Don’t forget real ale sometimes comes in bottles too. Proper Job Cornish IPA for example is maybe the most common one in supermarket fridges, costs about £1.70.
