Baron99   779 #3 Posted May 1, 2020 (edited) Lawrence of Arabia. The music & the scene in a vast expanse of desert when you first see Omar Sharif's character approaching, first as a small black dot on a shimmering horizon. Brilliant.  Also of course a true story & history lesson. I've been lucky to see it years ago in the cinema when when the screens were massive, rather than what we have these days. Seeing the film on TV doesn't really do it justice. Edited May 1, 2020 by Baron99
 Share this content via...

The acting was good, the story line was unexpected and the scenery was a sight for sore eyes with the stand out backdrops being the Tinsley cooling towers and the Tinsley canal.  The Full Monty was on tv last night. I’ve seen it before but it’s still good. The actors got the Sheffield accent off to a tee.!
 Share this content via...
