Please dont set off Sky Lanterns In Support Of Nhs

Recommended Posts

I've seen a number of adverts from Sky Lantern manufacturers and sellers encouraging people to buy them and set them off in support of the NHS.

Firstly they are just trying to make money, secondly they are dangerous to wildlife and farm animals, thirdly it's just random littering and fourthly fire services have enough to do without chasing randomly distributed incendiary devices.

If you are thinking of setting off fire Lanterns now, or ever, please desist.

A round of applause is infinitely preferable to an uncontrollable fire.
