Just reading that Sir Stirling Moss has passed away after a long illness aged 90.

Heroic F1 driver indeed..no real protection ,bad tyres + down force ,straw bales instead of Armco etc etc a true gent right through ..God Bless

Stirling Moss suprisingly only did 66 F1  gps, although winning 16.

Moss used to compete in many other types of races during his career  clocking up 212 wins out of 529races, a true legend of motor racing,  R.IP

• Yes RIP, on reading Stirling's obituary today, I didn't know that he was Jewish (not that his religion matters here) his grandfather changing the family name from Moses to Moss.
