Yes, looks like the 135 is being pulled too, hence the changes to the 86 in Grenoside. Â You'd thing given they'd managed to get a physical notice produced and put up on the bus stop (which isn't a bad achievement right now to be fair) they would have put it online too! Guest busdriver1 Â Â #62 Posted May 5, 2020 Please remember, a lot of these changes are for the duration of the Covid 19 outbreak and do not necessarily represent the service that will be provided afterwards, although there will be a lot of changes from the Pre Covid 19Â services that is certain. Indeed, it would not be viable to provide any public transport right now if the government hadn't provided funding for bus, train and tram operators to run a very basic skeleton network. Â This will improve as lockdown eases and there is more demand for travel, however there will be restrictions of some description for some time yet. GleadlessLad   12 #65 Posted May 7, 2020 Thanks Andy - but the page which the link goes to states that the 51 (Charnock / Lodge Moor) will be running half hourly on weekdays yet when I click on the "here" link for the timetables the 51's shown as running hourly on weekdays (albeit wef 02/05 to 30/05).  Do you know whether it will be running half hourly please on weekdays from May 11th - may just be that the revised timetable will be posted on the site nearer to May 11th?  Thanks. First have their posted their new timetables online this morning, you need to click the "forthcoming timetables" tab to view next weeks. Â 51 on weekdays appears to be a half hourly service with last buses around 9pm.
 Share this content via...

Andy C   85 #68 Posted May 9, 2020 don't forget there are also other services into town from Gleadless as well as the First 51 - TM Travel bus 252 is running a revised timetable which you can find here: http://www.tmtravel.co.uk/ plus the Blue & Purple tram routes. Buy a Citywide pass from https://sytravelmaster.com/ and you can get on any.
 Share this content via...
GleadlessLad   12 #69 Posted May 9, 2020 Thanks again Andy - yes the tram's an option (in normal times that's my usual mode of public transport), just looking at other options at present due to the emergency tram timetables.  I'd forgotten all about the 252, that's a further option; thanks! northernboy   13 #71 Posted May 10, 2020 Looking at the new timetables, the First 24 between Woodhouse and Bradway has added a second service each hour, but the extra bus runs at the same time as the Stagecoach 25 between Woodhouse and Bradway! (unless Stagecoach are going to change their times but haven't released the new timetable yet)  How exactly is that supposed to benefit anyone, unless First are trying to take every bit of extra custom they can get from their competitor. I would imagine now Stagecoach are aware they may change the times of the 25 (so much for the bus partnership coordinating timetables!) But in the meantime duplicate buses each hour mean more capacity for social distancing
 Share this content via...
