Covid 19 Bus Service Timetables

Recommended Posts

From 17th April Powell's Bus Company will be taking over route 6 (City Centre to Millhouses via Hallamshire Hospital and Carterknowle) from TM Travel, initially on a Coronavirus emergency timetable but once travel restrictions are lifted it will move onto a full timetable.

Another little update - as money is often dirty and can spread germs including the Coronavirus passengers are encouraged to pay by conctactless or buy their tickets online or on an app.

Supertram is now asking those that must pay by cash to tender the exact change for their fare. Passengers will be asked to drop the money into a tray for the conductor to then tip directly into their cash bag without touching it. If you aren't sure what the fare will be for your journey you can find out using the journey planner at stagecoachbus.com or on the Stagecoach bus app. Similar principle applies on buses too.

This is for the safety of staff and other passengers.

Please appreciate and respect staff working on buses, trams and trains, during the Coronavirus pandemic, they are putting themselves at personal risk to get you where you need to be - just like many other key front line workers.

Interesting development.

The traffic commissioners have relaxed the rules for service amendments, cancellations and registrations for the duration of the outbreak.

The usual 6 week registration notice period has been reduced to 24 hours so be aware that services COULD change at very short notice.

I am not aware of any changes in the piipeline, so just a heads up.

They are taking off the 57 so the 58 is partly covering that. It's only a small bus as it is, it will force more people on it. Also doesn't start until after 9am..
