Bring Back The Live Chat?

Recommended Posts

The live chat was a great feature , any chance it can be reintroduced especially given the current isolation and loneliness people may be experiencing in the current climate?

I'm not sure it's actually possible on this platform but I will pass that up to Geoff.

Thank you Mort, perhaps if it could not be done on the current platform it could be done on something external and officially linked / promoted.

Thanks for investigating :D

It wouldn't be too difficult to even create a live chat based on this new platform..

but i'm sure there'll be a plugin for one somewhere...

Technology and the ability to implement it is not the barrier, its more if Sheffieldforum wants to host or promote a live chat room, they always err on the side of caution for the content posted here and a live chat would be no different.

I would implore them to seriously consider bringing it back in one form or another, connecting and networking with people is more important than ever, the benefits will really outweigh the risks.

There is a thread on I'm bored called 'The last person to post wins'.  You can have a chat on there in these challenging times I hope.
