The registration page for this service is now live.

https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus-extremely-vulnerable

I registered for this a few days ago but I have heard nothing since. Could be the back log of the number of people applying. At the moment we are O.K because we have got a fabulous neighbour who has done all our shopping for us since we have been self isolating for the last couple of weeks. To top their kind heartedness they bought my wife a bunch of flowers with a little note saying "to cheer your day up"

There are some wonderful people about.

Went on the Sainsburys web site today and got a delivery slot for this Sunday so they must have got the info from the government and acted upon it. Great stuff.

Still waiting for my authorisation- does the minimum spend still apply and what is the delivery charge?

I requested a Boots delivery of a prescription and, despite my extremely vulnerable letter saying government is helping pharmacies to deliver free, I was told I would be charged £5 for the service

Our delivery charge is £3-50 and I think that is  for over £40-00  spend. If you look on their web site it will give you all the details.

For S17 (Bradway, Totley and Dore), you may have had a volunteer deliver a leaflet from the local support group with information at the time of going to print. Their website is here: https://sites.google.com/view/s17-covid-19/home.

I've visited both the Sainsbury's Local at Bradway and the Tesco Express at Abbeydale Park and both have plenty of fresh food although note they are closing earlier than normal in the evening (9pm and 10pm respectively). They are limiting numbers in the shop so there is a short queue outside. I assume the Totley Co-Op and Dore Co-Op is similarly stocked, they are closing at 8pm

Border View Farm shop is still open as normal, again observe social distance guidance. They will deliver on request to elderly/vulnerable local residents.

Hartleys Fruit & Veg shop at Bradway is delivery only, phone up to place your order and pay. They can also supply bread, cheese and yogurts.

Bradway Meats is also pre-orders only, collection from shop available.

For alcoholic drinks, Abbeydale Brewery, Mitchells Wine Merchants and Two Thirds Beer Co are delivering.

Bradway pet supplies shop is currently offering delivery.

Citygrab, the food delivery arm of City Taxis, will deliver from a number of takeaways & restaurants along with Moss Valley Fine Meats and Our Cow Molly Dairy. There are also some takeaways still on Just Eat plus of course Dominos at Dronfield and Papa John's at Woodseats deliver pizza to our area.

The local M17 bus is still running Monday to Saturday hourly from 10am to 3pm and conveniently links most of the local shops. Buses 24/25, 81/82 , 97/98 and 218 are also running a reduced service (generally hourly) until 7pm. See https://travelsouthyorkshire.com/servicechanges/ for timetables.

A reduced train service is operating from Dore & Totley station, finishing earlier than normal at 9pm. Check https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ for times.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT INFORMATION

A service is still being provided but at a much reduced level to cater for key workers and those needing to get to shops for food, drink and medicine - essential journeys only please.

General advice:

- Check revised timetables before travelling. A Summary of current services with PDF timetable downloads can be found on the service changes page at https://travelsouthyorkshire.com/

- For bus and tram travel you are encouraged to buy tickets by contactless means rather than cash as it is more hygienic. Card payment is accepted on board by First, Stagecoach bus, Supertram and Powells. Daily tickets are available on the First and Stagecoach bus apps whilst weekly all operator passes are available online at https://sytravelmaster.com/.

- For train travel all tickets must be purchased before boarding, either online, on an app or from a self service machine (or at the ticket office at some stations).

- Do not leave newspapers or other rubbish behind on the vehicle.

- Please show consideration to other passengers and staff by practicing social distancing and hygienic behaviour wherever possible.

Bus services:

Generally speaking, First are running to special emergency timetables with most routes operating hourly, services generally finishing about 7pm. Stagecoach are running to the Sunday timetable every day but with some early morning commuter buses added. TM Travel are running a limited emergency timetable. Powells are generally running the school holiday service levels. Anyone know about takeaways and stuff? I know plenty are open but how safe is it? What are the chances of transmission via food. Genuine question.

I should think the food would be O.K. but the stuff it is wrapped in could have the virus on it if anyone who has touched it has the virus.

I think there is a lot of information out there and on here.

Sadly, posts and comments can conflict, leading to confusion as well as go out of date as we learn more about the Covid-19 strain of the Corona virus.

This being the case, I suggest keeping a .gov link on your computer, phone, tablet etc and check it every day and use common sense.

Here's a link to get you started

 Be safe everyone.

Does anyone know if Sheffield Council are doing anything like a council tax break?

I've tried to contact them but i'm stuck in a massive queue and they'll be closed for the weekend soon!

The statement on their website does not mention it, I just wondered if anyone else had enquired.
