Removing Posts That Don't Break Site Rules Without Explanation

Recommended Posts

Why are posts removed without any explanation when they don't even break any of your own defined rules? This forum is so far removed from freedom of speech as to be a left wing echo chamber where anyone with a differing view to that of the moderating team is heavily and promptly censored.  No wonder site traffic and hits are down year on year on year. The answer isn't more censorship,  it's more free discussion and debate, and that entails allowing alternative views. Otherwise I fear this site will die off completely.

... is one way of brushing it under the carpet and cancelling diversity of opinion.

Maybe moderators could inform users  why their post got removed, as a courtesy and to help guide them in future?  It's difficult to know what is and isn't allowed when posts that do no break any listed site rules still get instantly deleted without reason.

Most users are (sadly) all too well aware that the Thought Police have ruined this forum with their 'woke' approach to diverging views on various issues that people wish to discuss. It's absolutely no surprise that people drift away and traffic is down.

I've had several warnings so tend to just browse as a guest these days.  Shame.

99% of users know which rules their posts broke before they are removed, and for those that don't. we have the Helpdesk.  If we had to do an individual PM for each post removed then that would just result in an argument for every single post removed, and an awful lot of moderating work.

Many posts that are removed when it isn't clear why, either quote or answer a post removed for a rule break, for instance.

Or like this thread, they contain lovely digs at the moderating team which I'm not prepared to allow to continue.  Closing.
