Hopman   46 #1 Posted March 1, 2020 (edited) Talking Pictures TV are showing this March 2nd at 6am. It will be subtitled. It's a film from 1949. From IMDB: Quote Businessman Charles Peace leads a double life--by day he's a respected local businessman, but by night he's a professional thief who lets nothing, not even murder, stop him from getting what he wants.  Edited March 2, 2020 by nikki-red
 Share this content via...

lazarus   68 #12 Posted March 2, 2020 (edited) I’ve seen a film about Charlie Peace and his exploits and his final demise, when the lady of his desires, Mrs Dyson, the wife of the man he murdered,  gives evidence from the witness box, she’s asked if she resides on Harrington Road, to which she replies yes. Only a small section of this street survives at the back of the  old Earl of Arundel and Surrey public house, now a bike shop. The film was an English made film.
