Sheffield Wednesday V Charlton Fc

Recommended Posts

Charlton deserved nothing out of the game ,loads of time wasting 1 shot on target & the keeper man of the match for them .

On chances Wednesday could have had 3 or 4.

Never seen a team complain or waste as much time as Charlton. Why would they not come to Hillsborough and attack us given our recent form ?

Charlton paid for a lack of ambition,on a night where they used spoiling tactics and time wasting and set up for a point almost from the off.

Wednesday stuck two halves of football together for the first time in months but couldnt find the killer punches to knock their woefull opponents out,FF the main culprit, despite a dominate from performance hed left his shooting boots at home.

The long suffering home fans had to wait untill the last moments of stoppage time for the knock out.

As dominant had theyd been charlton did have one rasping effort, when Borner lost Taylor who struck a beaut of a shot that beat Dawson but cannoned back off the bar.

In the end it was justice for a dominant performance, but how toothless did Wednesday look infront of goal.

It looked like we could go all night without scoring but Fletcher again saves the day, certainly looked more threatening when he was on but we should of had at least 3

Certainly an improvement, put those opprtunities away, otherwise more of the same for the rest of the season and fans will be happy .

We've lost 30 miles in the last six weeks or so. The Birmingham game gained us 50 Yards and the Charlton game got us another half a mile back. We've still got a Marathon + to go to deem any sort of pride or satisfaction, so we shouldn't get carried away eh? Both games were a huge improvement on the 6 week dross, so maybe there's a chink of light at the end of the tunnel. Hope they keep improving.

Don't be so sure, we could yet save you if you finish 3rd bottom. That bottom half is getting very tight and with a possible point deduction for us nothings certain

If Wednesday, Derby, Reading get punished the bottom 3 could take on a very different look.
