staninoodle 175 #1 Posted February 23, 2020 Rumour doing the rounds on the usual places that DC is in talks with an Italian businessman to sell the club. Chansiri has had interest before but his asking price has been the deterent, hes rumoured to want £135M for the club ,to date offers have fell WELL short. If the rumours are correct, talks are at an advanced stage with DC informing the EFL and an exclusivity bond already lodged,so the prospective owner is already under EFL scruitiny for fit and proper person,so news should hit the press in the comming days if theres any substance to the story. abbeyedges 83 #2 Posted February 23, 2020 If true and this Italian businessman turns out to be credible then this could be the best news Owls fans could have ever wished for. I've been saying it on here for ages that Mr Chansiri is your biggest liability. There's one Owl who was a regular on here baiting the Blades who disagreed vehemently but seems not to post on here now.
 Share this content via...
Brooker11 10 #3 Posted February 23, 2020 Mr C came with good intentions but tried to go it alone in a very harsh business climate unlike any other. The downside if true is that the new man would be under the same restrictions spending wise.
 Share this content via...

Don't like to get on chansiris back but he has made big mistakes so if it's true I'm not against it but probably just a rumour
 Share this content via...

ALAN 58 10 #6 Posted February 23, 2020 (edited) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diego_Della_Valle Diego Della Valle net worth: $1.9 Billion Diego Della Valle Net Worth: Diego Della Valle is an Italian entrepreneur who has a net worth of $1.9 billion. Born on December 30, 1953 in Sant'Elpidio a Mare, Italy, he has continued the family tradition of shoemaking together with his brother Andrea Della Valle. His grandfather, Filippo Della Valle, established a shoemaking business in the 20s, and later, his father, Dorino Della Valle, led the company. Eventually, the family business came in the hands of the brothers, and Diego was eager enough to expand the family tradition into the now well-known Tod's in 1978. The Italian leather company is active in making luxury shoes and purses, which is successfully growing because of the increased sales of 14% in China and Hong Kong. A graduate of Law in the University of Bologna who left his law career in order to maintain the family tradition, Diego now serves as Chairman and CEO of Tod's, and together with his brother Andrea, they own 56% of the company's shares. Moreover, the Della Valle duo is a part of Piaggio & S.p.A. with 2% shares and of Bialetti Industrie SpA with 11% shares, and they also own stakes in the luxurious eyewear company Marcolin and in the U.S. retailer Saks. In addition to his interests, Diego sits on the boards of numerous companies like Banca Nacionales del Lavoro, Maserati, Ferrari and LVHM. Also, he has donated $33 million to renovations of crumbling Coliseum in Rome. What's more, Diego is the person who attacked Silvio Berlusconi publicly for over-taxing large businesses and not supporting the small ones. f he is able to restore the Colosseum then Hillsborough should be a piece of cake. He came in with good intentions I think, just hasn't gone the way he or us hoped though. Wether that's down to bad advice or both who knows but that's the way it goes sometimes. Think it will just be a rumour though, can't see it happening
 Share this content via...

He was the Fiorentina owner untill last year. Cant see that changing owners will make the EFL charges go away, otherwise everyone would overspend and pull the same stunt
 Share this content via...

Why is Wednesday worth one penny more than the £37m he paid for it? DC might have chucked further millions at it but what value has he added? He probably paid too much for it anyway.
