Neither did I.

OK you can't  get away from the newish houses in the background and the cars that keep driving past in the background  but when you come to the customers entering the shop you would think they would have them dressed in the appropriate  fashion of the day like the shop keeper and his family and not in jeans and blue hair.

I agree with you. I was disappointed. Then when a customer paid with a new £10 note that spoilt things.

So you'll all not be watching next week then? Personally I enjoyed it, from an educational standpoint. Don't think it was ever intended to be a period drama. The juxtaposition of old & new helps to emphasise what we all take for granted nowadays.

I agree It was Educational, I was amazed how they filled the shelfs with the old packaged products like Pears soap ect.  These programmes should be shown in our schools, showing how kids had to pull their weight and muck in.

I like Beamish Museum, you get a good idea what life was like living in 1820, 1910 and 1940s.

I’ve been a bit disappointed with this series up to now but think it will be interesting tonight as they are in the 60s era. Encountering skiffle music, hula hoops and sliced bread.!
