Not just yet Hots,

At the moment conditions are not in your favour, can't play silky , one touch, breathtaking football in the rain, wind, and cold..

Yeah Padders. Stop making excuses. We, us, you, me have been doing it for the last 10 years.

Can't believe the number of excuses you lot have come up with over the years!,

Who's said owt remotely like an excuse?

All I (and most others on here) have done is rip our players apart. Padders' post is as tongue in cheek as you could get. Also, Padders isn't a died in the wool Owl, he wishes both clubs the best futures possible. Don't worry, we don't have to make excuses for our lot. There aren't any. There's a very good reason, but no get outs. Poor attitudes lead to poor displays and poor results. The players' attitudes have been atrocious and we deserve every defeat we've had these last 6 or 7 weeks.

Seriously..

To be fair lots of big named Championship clubs are under performing, it's not just the Owls..

While I agree 100% on your posts, its difficult to get 11 players to be on top of their game every week..I know they should be, but it doesn't work like that, and it's very frustrating.. Saturday, Mr Rooney pays a visit, where are Derby, level on points with the Owls..

Gloom but not Doom.

Summat.

A player or 2 can be off the pace, but not all 11, or in some cases (only) 8 of them. It's been a conscious, collective, 'little quality, 70%  effort' performance. It was better at Brum, so we'll see how we go.

With managerial changes comes a change in style and emphasis, its a whole new philosophy, players adapt or get moved on,Id guess many of this squad already know they wont be here next season, others will have been told they can leave if the right fee comes in,which leaves a platform of uncertainty, not ideal for building a future, overpayed millionaires they maybe, thats market forces, its not their fault wages are high, they just kick a football and try to fit a managers expectations and game plan, some will have had offers to join more successfull clubs turned down by the the nutjob that owns the club, somwhere in the region of 40M has been refused in transfer fees, staggering when you look at where the club is currently.and yet..........

A fair few in the squad were part of that first season under DC & CC that played some of the best football seen at Hillsboro for decades, the likes of Lee,Hutchinson,Bannan Westwood Nuhiu FF,Lees were big figures in the level of entertainment,we played possession football, thats all changed now,its all about getting it foreward quicker, winning 2nd balls with players that just dont suit that ethos,we dont have ultra fit 6ft 3 ins players that love to rough it up,weve got players that like a touch or two, look for a pass with their heads up and there in lies the problem and thats why weve tailed off against teams that want to turn it into a battle,we lack the physicality for a prolonged and sustained period of battle style football that the current and previous managers want from the squad thats currently assembled
