I'd like to know?  At what future date will the (and it must be a dwindling minority by now), will the average Remainer go, "That's it, enough time has passed, I'll get on with my life."

It's probably proportional to the time it's going to take for the penny to drop that you're an idiot, who's been played for a gullible fool...

...how long will that take? :?

Does anyone think the Brexit result would have been very different, if Charismatic optimist Boris Johnson hadn't backed the leave campaign with what amounted to a load of lies and guff?

Boris Johnson “deeply regrets” going down Brexit route close sources reveal:

"he now wishes he had sent the other letter"

Apparently Boris does... :?

Brexit trade trouble increasingly hits UK firms:

https://www.reuters.com/markets/europe/brexit-trade-trouble-increasingly-hits-uk-firms-bcc-2021-12-23/

"The survey findings chime with official data that show Britain's exporters have struggled by international standards since the world's No.5 economy left the EU's economic system. In October, Britain was the only country out of the Group of Seven whose goods exports had not recovered to their average level of 2018."

The results of an Opinium survey, as reported in the Guardian yesterday, show that:

42% of people who voted Leave in 2016 had a negative view of how Brexit had turned out so far.

26% of Leave supporters said it had gone worse than they expected, while 16% of those who voted for Brexit said they had expected it to go badly and had been proved right.

Among people who voted Remain, 86% said it had gone badly or worse than they expected. Overall, just 14% of all voters said Brexit had gone better than expected.

They’ll be the boomers who’ve paid for their homes which they bought in the 60’s for a few thousand pounds, they’ll have decent pensions and have benefited from the postwar consensus but enjoy seeing other folk suffer. The miserable B***ards.

And another market collapses thanks to brexit. A million less schoolkids coming to England on school trips.

It wont be anything to do with Brexit though, the government now have the ultimate tool in Covid. You're going to see some serious tax rises in the coming years. Wages are rising rapidly , PAYE is the ultimate target in this situation as it is easy. People feared for their jobs during furlough, easy peasy. Get the next general election out of the way then bingo. They are even planning on raising state pension to 73 years old. How many fully paid up members are never going to see a bean of that?

Can you imaging the mindset of someone who can see something is a bad idea, will cause others harm and misery but votes for it anyway???

I don't know but I guess all the Remainers are also in favour of locking the country down, mandates, masks, hate Trump, think transgender women should compete in women's sport, love Trudeau, are climate change fanatics etc etc

It's not so much about ideas it's about DNA. It's what sort of person you are so there's never going to be any common ground.

As of December 2019, the unemployment rate across the EU averaged 7.4%. The same report gives the UK as 3.8%.

Greece is at 16.6%.

https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/statistics-explained/index.php/Unemployment_statistics

However it's not evenly spread over the country. There are places with almost full employment, and pockets of high unemployment which affects the whole community, and therefore gets worse and worse unless there is some intervention.

Also I believe the unemployment figures are calculated on the number of people claiming unemployment benefits, and there are a large number of unemployed people who are not eligible for a whole host of reasons, eg sanctions, no bank account, no home address, too much in savings etc.
