Consequences Of Brexit [Part 9] Read First Post Before Posting

Biden is looking to the EU not to the UK.

Having put up with Trump, the last thing he want's to do is to encourage Trump(minor) i.e. Mr BoShambles.

The sooner they are both consigned to the anals (deliberate spelling) of history, the better.

They have done nothing for their countries, they have caused many unnecessary deaths, good riddance to bad politicians!

More lies from the dictatorship that is the government.

Boris Johnson has said he believes there is "a deal to be done" on post-Brexit trade with the EU.

But while the UK prime minister "very much hopes" to come to an agreement, he said the country was "very well prepared" to move on without one.

As a liar, cheat, who is sexist and racist - why should we believe him?

His track record is one of death, destruction and absence. We should get rid of him now!

I certainly would not believe his comment that “we are very well prepared “ in the event of no agreement.

They might be- perhaps sourcing new minimum wage workers from overseas, but is the rest of the UK?

Meanwhile, UK's 'minimum viable product' for Brexit transit software will not be ready until December, leaving no time for testing

The United Kingdom is set to base its post-Brexit management of goods crossing the EU border on software that is still yet to be introduced, leaving little or no time for stakeholder testing.

According to spending watchdog the National Audit Office (NAO), the Goods Vehicle Movement Service (GVMS), which is set to link information on cross-border customs declarations of goods with the vehicle that is transporting, remains under development by Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs.

...

Not very reassuringly, the report held that: "A minimum viable product will be released in December 2020 and this will be followed by a second release by June 2021 that will provide more functionality and enable the delivery of GB import and export controls."

So we might be able to track that goods are crossing our borders by January but we won't be able to apply import and export controls on them until June next year.

Doesn't sound "very well prepared" to me.

Hope the beleavers are happy now - leaving with no deal, in the middle of a pandemic, with two ineffectual world leaders defining our future...

In the years to come, our children will be looking back on this time and asking "why did they do it?"

And no-one will be able to explain why!

Well shafted, beleavers - well shafted!

Another word to be added to the warning list at the beginning of the thread?

Lots of companies are prepared for No Deal. Leaving the EU will prove to be just an economic blip, hardly the earth shattering catastrophe that EU fanatics claim it will be.

The EU was painted as being absolutely essential to the UK for decades. The reality is it just made the rich people richer.

and you think that will be any different next year?

if anything, it's likely to make rich people even richer and poor people even poorer

a strange platform for a self-proclaimed left-winger to take and defend...

Technically he will have 20 days in office after the UK leaves the EU.

Goodness knows how much of a <removed> he could raise in that time?

Build a wall in the Atlantic...

Or maybe he'll be practicing doing a bunny squat to pick up the soap in the shower, as when he has lost his immunity to prosecution, a lot of people will have him in their sights...
