If you want my views on the benefits of Brexit, feel free to look back over the numerous postings I've made, not only in this thread, 'Part 9' but also the subsequent ones.  But as for some benefits, for starters we're no longer part of a supposed 'community' that clearly has more divisions than the English & Scottish football league put together. An organisation that perpetuates supposed rules for all its members such as budgetary control with punative financial penalties, except of course if those breaking the rules happen to be France or Germany.  A spend thrift organisation that spends a fortune on promotion of environmental programmes but thinks nothing of the environmental impact of packing up & moving the whole circus from Brussels to Strasbourg just for a week then back again, once a month.   As I've said above. All along these lines & much more are covered in previous postings.   Looking forward to 01/01/2021 & taking the naysayers along for the ride. The small minority, can either help make this work for their country or sit on the sidelines & moan. Edited December 6, 2020 by Baron99
 Share this content via...

Pettytom   1 #1547 Posted December 7, 2020 Total shambles. The best we can hope for is a poor deal that leaves us all poorer. Our spineless PM can’t stand up to the UKIP tendency in his party, so we are all being sold down the river.  Never mind though, the narrative is shifting to absolve all of the extremist Brexiters from blame. Apparently, this is all the fault of the remaininers.  https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/dec/07/remainers-britain-soft-brexit?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other  Yeah, ok then.
