Consequences Of Brexit [Part 9] Read First Post Before Posting

Recommended Posts

Technically not a consequence of brexit but as resurrecting a UKIP thread would require some advanced thread necromancy this is probably the best place to put it.

Arron Banks fails to use European laws to avoid paying £162,000 tax bill.

The Brexit-backing millionaire has been resisting an HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) assessment that he owes the money for an inheritance tax liability on political donations to Ukip.

Where's my very small violin?

Multi-millionaire Brexiteer fails in his attempt to use European human rights laws to dismiss a £162,000 tax bill.  What a scumbag.

Farming is facing a monumental crisis. Watching Channel 4 reporting that up to 90% of the asparagus crop will go unpicked unless British workers pick up jobs. The EU migrant labour has stopped coming and Covid hasn't helped. That's just one crop.

aren't brexit voters queuing up do these?

Well, after this morning's news, they're not likely to fall in the US: Trump has minions on the ground in China with cases full of cash, hijack-buying every consignment of masks in sight on tarmacs, sometimes at 3x the price, and sod the original purchasers.

French local authorities have had several millions hijacked like that, would not surprise me one bit if likewise for other countries, including the UK.

maybe the french and others need to put in place guards once the purchase is agreed then!

The "French and others*" have functioning geopolitical memories ;)

(*excluding sizeable contingents of Hungarians, Poles, Italians, Brits, Americans, …)

I can’t speak about trade in recent years but in the business that I was in the Chinese were renowned for reneging on deals if the market went against them or a better offer was tabled.

The Japanese were very precise but honourable.

He would literally snatch a ventilator from a relative of yours and you're applauding him.

Give your head a wobble.

it wasn't trump. It was private companies, based in the US, who did it. Which makes it much easier to retaliate against them if they don't have the backing of the government presumably...

Looking after his mates rather than US citizens if his past form is anything to go by.

Wonder who'll be in charge of flogging them to the highest bidder? Jared Kushner maybe..........................................

The only time I'd ever applaud Trump, is when he receives his Darwin Award.

But you're right: the EU is going to be way, wayyy down a very long list of people baying for Trump and his family's blood when this is over 😂😂😂

Now, have some Brexit-themed goodness in this thread 😏

Why pay for something if you're not going to use it.
