Are you looking at the right string of numbers? None of sample I took (My cupboard) have a specific date, only a month and year.

Most food products usually have some printed data, including date, time etc.

In majority of cases there is a batch code, a few numbers that won't mean anything to the consumer, but a lot to the manufacturer.

This number can be traced back by the supplier, to determine when the product was packed and from which batch. Any complaints on quality or other issues can usually be identified from this number.

Bar codes are just a string of numbers to denote the product.  In addition to the date, sometimes there is another set of numbers/letters which the manufacturer can use to detect when it was canned.

Correct.

On a can, there would only be month and year.

Think Farzad has got it wrong.

Or maybe Farzad made it all up

Hope you start to feel better soon. Try a few tbl spoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water. Very good for killing bacteria in the stomach.

Bacteria are supposed to be in the stomach to help digest food and retain the natural flora of the gut.  Which bacteria in particular does this remedy target?

We have to keep in mind that the killing of gut bacteria is only temporary- think antibiotics for example.

Good bacteria comes back. A good way to promote this is live bio yogert. Taken with a small amount of raw onion will enhance this.

Sounds like, with the addition of a bit of cucumber and a touch of garlic, a decent dip

And a bit of turmeric.  Winner, winner, out of date dinner.
