Delays When Opening Pages

Recommended Posts

Today I have started getting a noticeable delay when opening pages and also when replying to posts. When replying it seems like its frozen for several seconds once post has been clicked. Not sure if anybody else is experiencing the same.

Using Chrome latest.

I get this quite often but pretty certain it's down to my connection speed out here in the sticks in France - on a good day we get 8Mbs, other times it's like going back 20 odd years to a 56k modem.

Don't think it can be that as I have a very steady 36Mbs.

I use firefox,

this slowness seems to be when using the 'notifications' way of navigating.

just clicking pages opens at normal speed for me, but notifications not working as usual.

An observation.

Slow opening / saving seems to happen to me most on "I'm Bored" threads which can be  over 1,000 pages long.

I know some of the General threads we both post on run to several hundred pages - is it thread length causing slow down?
