The “guidance” is to wear a cycle helmet but it’s not a legal requirement.  It says it quite clearly in the linked article in the post you quoted.  You must have missed it.

Yep certainly did :blush: and sorry about that. I concentrated on what the article said under the heading "The government’s safety rules" as it was not listed in those.
