Cost: £5 plus booking TICKETS
What: Join us for a very special Sheffield screening and the UK premiere of ‘Beer! The Best Film Ever Brewed’, a brand-new documentary which takes a deep dive into the international beer industry and the second most consumed beverage on the planet.
While the film examines beer the world over, the story behind this documentary started in Sheffield, when the director attended Doc/Fest and came up with the concept in none other than The Rutland Arms – a stone’s throw from the Showroom.

The screening will be followed by a special Q&A session hosted by Sheffield Beer Week, with the film’s director Friedrich Moser and producer Maarten Schmidt, alongside a panel of industry professionals from the Sheffield and UK beer scene. The event will be followed by an after-party in the Showroom Bar, with a special selection of local brews available on tap.

This event is brought to you in partnership with Sheffield Beer Week, Sheffield Doc/Fest, Showroom Cinema and Marketing Sheffield.

Indie Beer Feast is on today and tomorrow.  This is a brewery bar led beer festival celebrating independent craft brewers organised by the people behind Hop Hideout, the specialist beer shop in Kommune.

Advance tickets are now off sale. Saturday was a sell out, Friday should have a small number of tickets available on the door.

Takes place 9th to 15th March

A City wide celebration of beer across many venues, now in it's 6th year! Look out for brewery open days, tap takeovers. beer and food pairing menus, guided beer & heritage walks and more!

Things kick off with the Indie Beer Feast at Abbeydale Picture House on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th before beer week proper gets underway on the Monday.

Keep an eye on https://sheffieldbeerweek.co.uk for details as they get announced. It is also worth having a gander at the Drinking Craft Beer in Sheffield Facebook group, some pubs and bars have already started promoting their beer week events on there.

Is this a kegtravaganza or is cask ale also included?

EDIT:  Having read the further posts I've answered my own question.

It sounds like a good number of initiatives and I hope it's successful.

I popped in Shakespeare's after work tonight for the Torrside tap takeover and enjoyed quite an interesting variety of beers including an imperial stout on cask, a smokey Rauchbier on cask, A Belgian style IPA on cask and an IPA aged in Islay whiskey barrels on keg. Also tried a 3.9% dark mild, old skool malty ale, poured on gravity direct from the cask in the cellar.

That's my Monday of Sheffield Beer Week done...

I think Tuesday's choice will be a little crawl taking in events at the Rutland Arms, Lost Industry Tap and Triplepoint.
