These are probably the same parents that ignore their kids on the walk to school because their face is stuck inside a smartphone!  Also, your link comes from a company that wants to sell you their products. Not the best place to get unbiased information. I know it's a link to a link but still looking out for their own agenda. Unfortunately (in some cases) our way of life is ruled by electronic information, the faster that information gets from A to B tends to dictate the need for faster, more productive ways of doing it.
